3D, Layered & Brain Teaser Puzzles
Depth, layers and locks — puzzles for children who have outgrown flat.
Flat puzzles train one kind of thinking: which piece goes where on a plane. This range adds the other kinds. Layered puzzles stack a sequence — a growth cycle, a body, a scene — so the child has to hold an order in mind. 3D puzzles ask for structure, not picture. Brain teasers ask for a rule that is not visible until the piece moves.
The range is deliberately practical rather than decorative. There are no glue-and-display model kits here: every SKU is a puzzle that can be taken apart and done again. Layer puzzles use 3 to 6 stacked boards; 3D puzzles use interlocking or slotted pieces; brain teasers are the classic wooden burr, ring and lock formats in scaled-down, child-safe versions.
These sell to a different buyer than a first puzzle. They suit the 5 to 8 shelf, gift packaging and the 'something harder' customer. For a range, take one layer puzzle, one 3D animal or vehicle set and one brain teaser assortment, and merchandise them next to the jigsaws by age rather than by format.
Layer puzzles are 3 to 6 boards thick; 3D sets are sanded on every face before assembly. Brain teasers are supplied with a solution card.
