Questions
Frequently asked
The questions buyers ask before a first order.
Jigsaw Puzzles
What is the smallest piece count that works for retail?
12 to 24 pieces is the standard entry point for a toddler board; 48 pieces is the most common first 'real' jigsaw, and 100 pieces is the usual step after that.
Can the picture be customised?
Yes. UV print allows your artwork, a licensed image or a photo, and small runs can be printed to order. A new die line for a shaped puzzle is a one-off tooling cost.
Are the pieces safe for children under three?
Only where the piece size passes the small-parts test for that age band. We grade each jigsaw and state the age band on the product page; a 12-piece board with chunky pieces is the usual under-three format.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock designs, 100 to 300 pieces for a custom print or a new shape.
Peg, Knob & Chunky Puzzles
What is the difference between a peg puzzle and a knob puzzle?
The handle size. A peg is a small cylinder, usually under 10 mm across; a knob is a larger round grip, easier for a child under two. Chunky puzzles have no handle at all.
Which age band do they suit?
Knob puzzles from about 12 months, peg puzzles from about 18 months, chunky puzzles from about 2 years. The board should be graded on piece size, not on the picture.
Can we add a name or logo?
Yes — printed on the board face, engraved on the back, or on the packaging. A name printed per unit is a made-to-order run, usually from 100 pieces.
How are they packed?
Shrink-wrapped board with a colour header card, or a full colour box. Carton quantity and gross weight are on each product page.
Alphabet & Letter Puzzles
Uppercase or lowercase first?
Most classrooms introduce uppercase first because the shapes are more distinct, then move to lowercase. Stocking both in one board is a common compromise.
Can we print another language or script?
Yes. The board die stays the same; the print changes. Arabic, Cyrillic and accented Latin sets are all produced to order.
Is the paint safe if a child mouths a letter?
Paint is water-based and tested to EN71-3 migration limits. We supply the report per model with the quotation.
What is the MOQ for a custom alphabet set?
100 to 300 pieces depending on the number of colours and whether a new board size is needed.
3D, Layered & Brain Teaser Puzzles
Are these suitable for young children?
The simpler layer puzzles suit 3 to 5; 3D and brain teasers are graded 5 to 8 and up. Each product page states the band and the small-parts status.
Do you sell model kits?
No. We make puzzles that come apart and go back together. Glue-together display models are a different category and we do not produce them.
Can brain teasers be customised?
The mechanism stays; the finish, the box and the solution card can carry your brand. A new mechanism is a development project, not a print change.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock, 100 to 300 for custom packaging.
Shape Sorter Puzzles
What age is a shape sorter for?
Simple four-shape boards from about 12 to 18 months; nine-shape and layered boards from about 2 years. Piece size decides the grade.
Are the pieces chunky enough to be safe?
For the under-three bands, yes — the pieces are graded to pass the small-parts cylinder. The age band on each product page reflects that.
Can the shapes be customised?
Yes. Shape sets can follow a curriculum, a language or a theme, and the board can carry a printed name or logo.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock, 100 to 300 for a custom board or box.
Tangram & Pattern Puzzles
What is the difference between a tangram and pattern blocks?
A tangram is exactly seven pieces that form a square; pattern blocks are a larger set of geometric shapes used for tessellation and design. Both are in this range.
Are the seven pieces a standard size?
The classic proportion is used across the range so pieces from different sets are interchangeable within a size family.
Can you print our design on the cards?
Yes. Card decks are printed to your artwork from 300 sets; the wooden pieces can be branded by laser or print.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock sets, 100 to 300 for custom cards or packaging.
Matching & Memory Puzzles
What age is a memory game suitable for?
Simple pair matching from about 2 years; a memory game with hidden pieces and turn-taking from about 4. The product page states the band.
Are the pieces self-correcting?
The two-piece sets are. A wrong pair will not fit together, which lets a child work without an adult.
Can we customise the pictures?
Yes — printed faces are the easiest customisation in the whole catalogue. Themes, languages and school-specific sets are all produced to order.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock, 100 to 300 for custom print or packaging.
Number & Counting Puzzles
Are these aligned to a curriculum?
They follow the common early-years sequence of numeral recognition, counting to 10 and 20, and simple fractions. We can print a specific sequence to order.
Can we combine letters and numbers on one board?
Yes — combination boards are in the range, and a custom layout is a print change rather than new tooling.
Are the pieces safe for toddlers?
Where the piece is large enough to pass the small-parts test for that band. The age band on each product page reflects the test.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock, 100 to 300 for custom print or packaging.
Ordering
Are you a factory or a trading company?
A factory. Cutting, sanding, printing, assembly and packing are done in our own workshop in Yunhe County, Zhejiang.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock products. A custom print, colour or box usually starts at 100–300 pieces.
Can you put our logo on the product?
Yes — printed or engraved on the product, and on the packaging, barcode and manual. Most of the range can be customised without new tooling.
How long does production take?
About 15–35 days after sample approval, plus transit from Ningbo or Shanghai.
Do you supply test reports?
Yes, per model: EN71 for the EU, ASTM F963 and CPSIA for the US, with CE marking where applicable.
Can we order a mixed container?
Yes. Most buyers mix 8–15 SKUs; we build a loading plan before production starts.
