The tangram is the most efficient puzzle ever designed: seven pieces, one square, and an open-ended set of pictures that a child can copy, invent or fail at and try again. It is also the easiest puzzle to manufacture well, which makes it a reliable wholesale line.

This range covers the classic seven-piece tangram, magnetic tangram sets for travel, larger pattern-block assortments with cards, and geometric puzzle games that combine the tangram with a picture book or card deck. Plywood pieces with water-based paint; magnetic versions use a magnetic sheet under the board. Sets run from a pocket-size seven-piece to a 200-piece classroom assortment.

Tangram sells to two buyers. Retailers take the boxed and magnetic versions for gift and travel; schools and education suppliers take the large sets and the card-based versions. If you are building a curriculum range, pair a tangram set with a pattern block set — they teach the same ideas at two levels.

Magnetic sets use a full magnetic backing sheet, not glued magnets, so pieces stay flat after use. Cards are printed on 350 gsm board.

Questions about tangram?

What is the difference between a tangram and pattern blocks?
A tangram is exactly seven pieces that form a square; pattern blocks are a larger set of geometric shapes used for tessellation and design. Both are in this range.
Are the seven pieces a standard size?
The classic proportion is used across the range so pieces from different sets are interchangeable within a size family.
Can you print our design on the cards?
Yes. Card decks are printed to your artwork from 300 sets; the wooden pieces can be branded by laser or print.
What is the MOQ?
10 pieces per SKU for stock sets, 100 to 300 for custom cards or packaging.
